Moving Revere Forward -A Progress Report to Mayor Daniel Rizzo
Community leaders, stakeholders, and friends of Revere present an update to the original Transition Team Document to Mayor Rizzo
Revere – Last Thursday, Mayor Rizzo presented findings from the Moving Revere Forward Progress Report that was developed over the last 4 months. The report is intended to serve as a roadmap for the Administration. This is an updated version to the original Transition Team document that was presented to Mayor Rizzo during the winter of 2011. This meeting can be viewed on RevereTV.
The Progress Report process drew on an experienced group of leaders from across the community who bring deep subject matter experience and a serious commitment to Revere. The fundamental goal of this process was to identify and document strategies on how to build upon successes and jumpstart a conversation about how we continue to make Revere an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
To prepare this report, seven committees were assembled to address the various functions of city government. Each committee met at least twice during the winter and spring of 2015 to discuss ideas and provide feedback on implementation. We are especially grateful to the 40 plus committee members for participating in these conversations and bringing their expertise, knowledge, and love for Revere to the process.
“I would like to thank the committee chairs, and the 40 plus committee members for participating in these conversations and bringing their expertise, knowledge, and love for our city to the process. I will seek to ensure that residents of Revere continue to have a voice in my administration and this process demonstrates that commitment. The report, in its totality, has really touched many of the important issues facing our community today. We look forward to continuing to review findings, examine recommendations, and begin implementation wherever possible,” stated Mayor Rizzo.
