Revere Receives Grant Funding for Municipal Electrical Vehicles
Grant Funding Made Possible by Department of Energy Resources Green Communities Division
Revere – Mayor Rizzo is pleased to announce that the City of Revere is the recipient of an ongoing grant from the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Green Communities Division worth nearly $90,000 that is funding four electric vehicles and two electric vehicle charging stations.
“The green community status is important for the City of Revere,” Mayor Dan Rizzo said. “This grant allows us to continue our efforts in developing city resources. These electric vehicles send a strong message to residents, visitors, and businesses that Revere’s City government is staying current with evolving technology.”
Three of the four electrical vehicles are designed for parking control. The other will be used by another municipal department to be named at a later date. The charging stations are going to be placed at the newly renovated parking lot by Revere City Hall.
