While the mortgage crisis has claimed millions of homes across America, Revere homeowners have seen some light at the end of the tunnel, in part to some of the non-profit groups that the city has partnered with to provide counseling and mortgage negotiation assistance. As Mayor, I will continue to seek out ways that we can assist those that are in need of these services in every way possible.

As for people in need of public assistance, I’ll simply state that it is a gross understatement to say that we need additional units. I don’t think a day goes by without someone approaching me about the possibility of entering subsidized or senior housing. I know that our new Housing Director, Linda Shaw recognizes this tremendous shortage and is actively looking at various possibilities that could add to our Housing stock. This is not an easy problem to solve, but one I am more than willing to work on to find the necessary solutions to.
