From a young age we are taught a simple principle, "respect our elders”. Seniors have dedicated their lives to taking care of people whether it is their children, family members, or people in their community. As State Senator, no one would work harder to show them our gratitude.
Under my tenure as mayor of Revere, I worked tirelessly with the Department of Elder Affairs and Rossetti-Cowan Senior Center to improve the quality of life for our seniors. We provided safe transportation, healthy meal programs and advocated for additional programs to guarantee that seniors enjoy safe, pleasant and sustainable lifestyles. Due to my experiences in Revere, I am able to bring the necessary qualifications to the state house in order to improve the lives of our seniors. I bring vast skills in community partnerships, contingency measures and personnel decisions in order to improve Massachusetts’ senior policies including important areas such as financial assistance, housing, advocacy and more. It was an honor to represent senior citizens in my hometown and it will be as great an honor to serve the senior citizens of the First Suffolk and Middlesex District.
