Revere- Dan Rizzo, Mayor-Elect, will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday December 20th at 6:00pm at Revere City Hall in the City Council Chambers. The purpose of this meeting is to collect input from residents that will help shape the future of Revere. Chairpersons of the various Transition Team subcommittees will be available to community members who are being asked to bring their questions and recommendations regarding education, city services, job creation and public safety to the meeting. Questions can also be submitted before the meeting through www.danrizzo.org.
Rizzo’s Transition Team has been hard at work since it’s first meeting last week. Over 60 policy leaders, academics, business owners, and other community leaders attended the first transition meeting last week. Findings from all 10 subcommittees will be finalized on Tuesday December 27th.
“I campaigned with the understanding that city government can and must do better in order to serve the people. Each of my subcommittees will come up with clear plans on how we can cut waste, improve efficiencies, and create new solutions to today's problems. Please attend the public meeting on December 20th so your voice can be heard. As Mayor, my door will always be open to ideas, comments, and innovative ideas on how we can improve our city,” commented Mayor-Elect Rizzo.
